The main objective of social and psychological rehabilitation services for persons with visual impairments is to ensure the right of persons with visual disabilities to live independently, move around freely, and use public transport; to teach and develop independent living skills; and to help them overcome social and psychological barriers and promote their social inclusion.

Under this program, persons with visual disabilities receive training in mobility skills using a white cane, as well as support in overcoming social and psychological barriers. The services are provided through non-governmental organizations commissioned with co-financing from the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs.
