The Annual Journalism Awards for Coverage of the Fight Against Human Trafficking and Exploitation are established by a joint order of the Minister of Labor and Welfare and the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport.

The purpose of the awards is to encourage comprehensive, objective, and effective media coverage of efforts to combat human trafficking and exploitation in the Republic of Armenia, thereby raising public awareness of the prevention of human trafficking and exploitation.

The awards are presented in the following categories:

• Television and Radio Productions
• Print and Online Publications

Both individual media professionals and media organizations are eligible to participate.

Applicants may nominate themselves.

Submitted materials must include the following:

• Content addressing human trafficking and exploitation;
• Elements that raise public awareness and help shape public opinion, including promoting tolerance and rejecting stereotypes and stigmatization;
• A focus on prevention;
• Compliance with journalistic ethics;
• Accuracy and reliability of the information presented;
• Details of where and when the materials were published or broadcast.

Applications that do not address human trafficking and exploitation or lack elements aimed at raising public awareness and shaping public opinion will not be considered or accepted for the competition.

Applications submitted to the competition and selected by the evaluation committee will be published on the website dedicated to coverage of efforts to prevent human trafficking and exploitation.

The deadline for applications is November 10, 2026, inclusive. Only materials published in 2026 are eligible.

First, second and third prizes will be awarded in each category.

The winners will receive the following monetary awards:

• First prize: 300,000 AMD (inclusive of all applicable taxes and duties);
• Second prize: 250,000 AMD (inclusive of all applicable taxes and duties);
• Third prize: 200,000 AMD (inclusive of all applicable taxes and duties).
