Minister of Labor and Welfare Arsen Torosyan, accompanied by Araks Community Head Ghazar Ghazaryan, visited the community-based small homes for persons with disabilities operating in Aknashen and Geghakert settlements of Araks Community, Armavir Province.

The Minister toured the community-based small home recently occupied in Aknashen, spoke with the residents, and inquired about their daily lives and participation in community life.

The Minister also visited the community-based small home in Geghakert, where construction works had been completed, and familiarized himself with the completed works, the living spaces, and the conditions created for the residents.

Accompanied by the Head of Araks Community, Minister Torosyan also visited the designated plots of land in the settlements of Griboyedov and Artimet, where the construction of new community-based small homes is planned.

During the visit, Minister Torosyan also visited the Independent Living Centre in Metsamor and familiarized himself with the progress of the construction works.

Arsen Torosyan emphasized that through such initiatives, the state continues to expand services for persons with disabilities, making them more targeted, person-centered, inclusive and community-based.
