Social Rehabilitation Services for Persons with Disabilities at Day Care Centers

The main objective of social rehabilitation services provided at day care centers for persons with disabilities is to ensure their right to live in their communities and families, promote their social inclusion, provide inclusive services at day care centers, and prevent their admission to residential care institutions providing round-the-clock care.

Under this program, social rehabilitation services are provided at day care centers to persons with disabilities, including those with intellectual disabilities and mental health conditions. The services are delivered through non-governmental organizations commissioned with the support of co-financing from the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs.

Persons with disabilities are eligible to apply for the program. To promote social inclusion, persons without disabilities may also receive services at the centers. To access the services, beneficiaries must apply to the territorial centers of the Unified Social Service.

Applicants must submit:

• Application
• Passport and Public Services Number (PSN)
• Military registration booklet
• Medical record

For specialized care services, an extract from the medical history or medical record is also required.
